SAAIM is for trainees in General Medicine who want to grow, are curious, and are not satisfied with the status quo. We take the long view of clinical excellence: mastery in internal medicine comes from years of practice, reflection, and learning with others.
We are building a culture where the best version of each of us – and of us as a group – shapes how people think and feel about their work. For advanced trainees, that means feeling supported, challenged, and connected to a wider community of general physicians.
We support your development across three linked domains: teaching, clinical research, and service delivery. All members are involved in service delivery; most teach; some engage in research. Together, these activities create real synergy at the bedside: teaching consolidates learning and sparks better questions, research and quality improvement refine our decisions, and service delivery ties it all together in the care of patients.
